keen was founded in 1999 by Charles Keen with Sir Terence Conran and John Sorrell. Its first collection quickly attracted an international client base including Chanel, Apple (including the companys hq in the USA and Europe), IXC Tokyo, the BBC, BP, Deloittes, Stella McCartney and private clients such as James Dyson, Jony Ive, Boris Becker and Georgio Armani.
In 2002 keen and the Azumis created the hugely influential and award winning new school furniture Orbital Workstation. Developed for the Design Council of Great Britain and the Department of Education, it changed the architectural basis of education design the 360classroom.
In 2005 a newly independent keen introduced a further collection, working with designers and manufacturers in UK, Europe and the USA. The first results were a feature of Grand Designs Live inJune 2006 and at 100% Design in September 2006.
As well as offering furniture for inspiring work and living places, keen offers design and enterprise consultancy to clients in Europe and overseas.
